Here are 14 tips that may help you change your way of thinking, let go of the toxic relationship, and free yourself from this burden:

1. Is letting go of the toxic relationship always a solution?
Before letting go of anything, you must analyze your situation properly. Sometimes, letting go is not always the solution.
- It delays forgiveness
- You feel cheated
- Sometimes, to let go before healing is dangerous.
But, don’t forget, not letting go is more harmful. Temporarily, it’s good but in the long run, it’s only you who suffer.
2. Don’t be hard on yourself
So, take your time, don’t force forgiveness on yourself too soon. Rather, divert your mind, find new goals, complete them. This way you can heal yourself.
Time is the best healer. Think, if you don’t forgive, it will keep causing you pain always. So, what’s more important, your happiness or not letting go?
3. Does that person deserve to occupy a permanent place in your heart?
Ask yourself, do you want that person who hurt you once, should occupy his/her place in your heart always? Is that person that is that important to you even more than your healing?
Just don’t give that person so much importance. And just let go.
4. What can’t be cured must be endured
Accept that you must let go of the things, which you haven’t control over.
If you are still holding on to a grudge, it’s only your loss dear. Nobody is going to be affected. Just leave everything up to Karma and Universe. Remember justice can be delayed but not denied.

No person is free from mistakes. Think about your own mistakes and understand human beings are like that. Doing mistakes is their nature.
Sometimes these mistakes turn into a blunder. Even God forgives you for your blunders, why are you resisting yourself?
It’s for your own sake only.

If possible, find that person and release your anger. It will remove the burden from your heart.

When you meet new people, you come to know their interests, new things and much more than you think.

10. Divert your attention
When your heart is bleeding, let go of your attention diverted. You can try to learn a new skill.
Do painting. Studies say, when you paint a canvas with a brush, you are painting your heart there, it is an indirect releasing of your pain.

Like everybody, you also have some goals to get accomplished. Focus on your attention there.
When you work in anger, it accelerates your efforts. Anger works like a catalyst in your path to success.

Make yourself as valuable as a diamond. Don’t worry about the obstacles. They will always come to test your patience.

You are not going to be stuck here always. Your heart will not always bleed like this. You will not underestimate your self-worth always.

Justice can be delayed but not denied.
So, don’t just try to be cheerful, try to focus more on the ways to come out of this mess of emotions.
