We go through several emotions each day. While going to work, completing our tasks, and spending time give us happiness, similarly facing our triggers, joining through challenges, and feeling negative emotions drain our energy also. Then how should we keep energised every day without feeling upset? Any life mantras you have?
I have my personal mantra that keeps me uplifted and motivated to complete my duties happily. If you don’t have them, you can make my mantras your own. 🙂
Life Mantras To Build Inner Strength & Get Success
Here is what I start my day with. These mantras are the reason behind my success. Even science says it can help curb stress and anxiety very effectively (see). So, chant them daily.
I AM:
- worthy enough to fulfil my duties. Though they seem to be hard, I am going to bear them.
- capable of working on my dreams. Though they daunt me, I will find the way.
- strong enough. I am losing hope, but I have won such battles in the past.
- brave enough because I have decided to face my fears.
- beautiful because I won’t see other’s fault from now on.
- clever enough because I leveraged myself for my goals.
- adaptable because I learned to manage myself according to the situation.
- courageous because I have chosen to forgive them.
- not a burden because I am learning to help others.
- not ashamed because I did not give up. I will restart my life.
- not alone, divine power is with me.
- I have stamina because I am choosing hope.
- I will not waste this life, I will be an inspiration to others.
30-Day Life Mantra Challenge To Make You Stronger & Wiser
Day 1: Define Your Core Values
Waste is a life which doesn’t have principles! In Hinduism, such life is compared with an animal’s life.
So, on the first day of the challenge, take a moment to define your core values.
Write down three principles that guide your decisions and actions.
Day 2: Check your integrity
Integrity is a great virtue. Checking on it will boost your confidence.
So, reflect on a situation where you exhibited integrity. Remind yourself how tough it was, and still, you did it.
Share this experience or realization with someone close to you.
Day 3: Listen to others’ perspectives
A good listener is someone who is liked by everyone. If you’re a good listener, you are unintentionally healing the people without uttering a word.
On day 3, try to engage in a conversation with someone who holds different views.
Be an active listener without being judgmental while respecting their perspective.
Day 4: Express gratitude for life lessons
I have written a detailed article on gratitude. If you read it, you will know its miraculous healing benefits.
Today, express gratitude for a challenging experience that taught you a valuable life lesson. Feel grateful and acknowledge the growth it brought.
Day 5: Set your personal space
Setting boundaries is the first step you should take for your mental health. You should know when to say no or when to let go.
On day 5, identify an area of your life where you need to set boundaries. Take that small step today and establish those boundaries.
Day 6: Discover value-aligned kindness
When you show kindness, it’s not for them, it’s for your soul.
There are different acts of kindness you can perform. Like giving someone your time, feeding ants, or donating your money.
Find such an act of kindness that aligns with your core values.
Day 7: Reflect on personal growth
On completion of this week, reflect on your personal growth journey.
Acknowledge the progress and see how this week made a positive impact on your mental health.
Check if you’ve aligned your actions with your life mantras & principles.
Day 8: Mindfully make decisions
Remember your past 1 month’s journey and take a pause. Consider if the decisions you made align with your values & life mantras.
If not, try to correct your past decisions and make a choice today that reflects your principles.
Day 9: Express appreciation
Expressing appreciation to someone not only boosts their confidence, it also makes your relationship better with them.
Even if you’re not good at expressing your thoughts, show appreciation to those who have influenced your principles positively.
Share with them how their impact has shaped your values.
Day 10: Expand your empathy definition
Today, try to see life from someone else’s perspective. Absorb yourself into someone else’s world. Wondering how?
You can choose a book, movie, or documentary that is based on a perspective vastly different from your own. Connect with them.
Allow yourself to feel what the characters feel. Feel their happiness, sorrow or every emotion
After completing it, reflect on how you could broaden your definition of empathy.
Day 11: Find your “why”
Think about the reason behind what you do every day. Your big ‘why.’ It’s like your life’s mission.
Today, recheck your goals. Now, check if the things you do each day match up with this big ‘why.’ Ask yourself, are you on the right track?
Are you sure you’re doing the things you planned or do you have to revise your goals & life mantras?
Day 12: Admit your mistakes
Think about a time you made a mistake. It’s okay, we all do! But do you have the guts to admit it?
Did I tell you admitting your mistake can be a powerful tool for your self-growth? Before admitting this, think about why you did it.
Now, learn the lesson for your improvement and forgive yourself.
Day 13: Choose your content wisely
Carefully, choose your watching & reading list. As you become what you consume.
So, think, is the data good for you? Does this match what you believe in or with your life mantras?
Today, refine your stuff and choose it in line with what you care about.
Day 14: Be a part of something bigger
You might be introverted but it’s good sometimes to connect with your surroundings. Help them with something important.
It could be anything; a cause, or just participating in something.
Now, observe how being a part of something bigger makes you feel.
Day 15: Respect yourself
Think about times when you felt uncomfortable or stressed. Identify one thing that often makes you feel this way.
Today, decide on a limit or rule to protect yourself from that stress. Clearly say no to others. They would understand and respect it.
Even if they don’t, still respect your boundaries.
Day 16: Reflect on generosity
Think about times when you shared your time, things, or skills with others. Think how important it is for you to be generous.
How did it bring joy & inner peace to you? Did it motivate you to help more or do you already have this on your ‘life mantras list’? How do you want to add kindness to your routine?
Day 17: Have a brave talk
Is it something that you should release from yourself? Do you want to forgive someone but fail at it? Are you mad at someone?
Have a brave talk with someone about it. Politely share your thoughts and listen to what others say. It will provide you with great emotional support.
Day 18: Discover new paths & life mantras
Think about a time when you stepped into a courageous task. A time when you were scared of trying something new or different.
Be proud of your courage. And today consider doing it again. Open yourself to discover such new paths.
Day 19: Check your screen time
Think about how you use your phone or computer. Are you always stuck on your screen scrolling something or the other?
Is it your work that keeps you engaged in gadget use? If not, why are you wasting so much time unnecessarily?
Maybe you need to set some rules. Like how much time you spend on screens or what apps you use.
Day 20: Pick a small goal
Pick a small goal that matters to you. It could be about a job, hobbies, helping others, or anything from your personal life mantras list.Â
Analyze today what you’re doing to make it happen. And what more strategies do you further need to execute them?
Day 21: Celebrate your progress
Think about something you’ve learned or achieved recently. It could be big or small.
Celebrate the fact that you’re growing and getting better. Remember, progress should be celebrated. It boosts your confidence.
Day 22: Be your friend
Have you heard about self-compassion? Practice it with yourself today.
Think about how you treat yourself. Are you living in any guilt? Forgive yourself.
Take a small step to be kinder. It will give you a much-needed break in tough times.
Day 23: Think before reacting
Remember a time when you stayed calm and patient in a tricky situation. Think about why being patient is important.
Patience is not a weakness. It makes you understanding and cool. Pledge yourself to practice it even when things are a bit tough.
Day 24: Find a wisdom quote
Pick a wise saying or a wise line you like. Think about why it’s awesome and how it fits with your life mantras.
Let that saying be your guide today. Make your day extra special.
Day 25: Connect with nature
There is nothing new in it. We all know the benefits of spending time with nature. But, due to busy schedules, we don’t always get time.
Today, take some time and go outdoors. Be grateful for how nature connects with what you care about.
And, what things can you learn from trees, birds, or just being outside?
Day 26: Be careful with social media
When you use social media, do it thoughtfully. Keep your feed healthy.
Also, think about how your posts and comments affect others. Do they show what you believe in?
You can be a good digital friend if careful.
Day 27: Say thanks
Do you hesitate to say “sorry” & “thanks”? However, you should not. These are magical words. Everyone should include this gesture in their life mantras.
So today, you also try to say thanks to all the loved ones who have always been there for you.
Think about why these things matter in your life. Sharing your appreciation will make these friendships stronger.
Day 28: Discover your life guide in a quote
We often read quotes & sayings. Some of them feel like telling our pains & emotions.
Today, think about that quote that’s like a guide for your life. How did it help you, especially when you were in tough times or needed guidance?
Be thankful for the good things it brought to your journey. You can also share it on your social media.
Day 29: Awaken your inner child
Have you tried this before? Remember how much joy it brought?
Today, try it out! Have fun doing simple things that awaken your inner child. Try drawing with bright crayons, blowing bubbles, making a pillow fort, or whatever you liked the most in childhood.
Think about how these activities make you super happy. Did they bring back the fun in your heart?
Day 30: Prepare your life’s GPS
On the last day of the challenge, now we end it with something important and meaningful.
Today, make a little list of important rules for how you want to live. Where do you want to travel? What’s your life goal? Or what are your principles & life mantras you never want to compromise upon?
It will become your guide helping you pick what’s right.
Final Words On Chanting Life Mantras
Life is sometimes a difficult task to handle. You can live it anyway, but why live by your negative emotions when you have a better option to set your own rules & life mantras?
Be the best version of yourself by taking up the challenge. If you don’t have time, save the infographic for free time. I am sure, you will thank me later by actually doing the things advised in the challenge. 🙂
Best of luck!
