Stress buster activity 1: Blow the bubbles
Don’t bubbles bring you back to your sweet childhood memories? Who doesn’t like bubble play? As a kid, you must have played with bubbles. But don’t think they are just for toddlers. You can always escape the pressure of adulthood by blowing the bubbles.
They are nostalgic and sporty. You may not realize but once you start a bubble play, you are going to feel like a kid again. When you feel crushed by the burden of heavy duties, take a bubble break to de-stress yourself and help your heart!
And yes, they can prove to be an effective stress management technique. They help to regulate shallow breathing caused by a prolonged build-up of stress, anxieties, and frustrations. Like meditation, bubble play is a stress-busting exercise that promotes regulated deep breathing.
As we all know, short breaths filled with anxiety are not good for health. So, when you find yourself sandwiched amidst the hassle of your hectic life, plan some entertainment exercises of blowing bubbles.
You can also plan bubble show activities and bubble challenges with your friends and family. You would spend a quite entertaining day full of bliss and delectation.

Stress buster activity 4: Listen to childhood songs
Songs trigger memories. When you listen to music from your childhood, it transports you back in space and time. You remind me of those memories of how you played with your siblings, how your parents loved you, how your mother cooked food for you.
The deep connection that music creates with those sweet fights and a wide range of joyful memories dilutes the bitterness you are feeling within yourself in the present. You feel the warmth of the love your parents gave you again.
As per my experience, listening to a childhood song is a powerful stress buster activity that works almost all the time.
Stress buster activity 5: Walk in the rain
Which kid doesn’t like walking in the rain? At least I did! I loved getting wet in the rain and still do. But during childhood, we were not allowed to have fun and enjoy the rain because of the fear of falling ill.
But do you know rain is good for health also? Yes, it improves your mental health. The humidity of rain keeps your skin young, fresh, and supple.
So, when it rains, don’t hide in your room. Enjoy the beauty and soothing sound of rain. You can also make a mini waterfall at home.
Stress buster idea 6: Watch butterflies
We all used to feel delighted to watch butterflies when we were kids. For me, it was always an amazing experience spending time in my aunt’s garden and watching the conversation of butterflies.
I still remember how delightful moments were when I used to chase the butterflies with the willingness of catching them and play with them.
Now, when I don’t find time for this, I have discovered new ways to watch the butterflies. I download the live butterfly wallpapers and feel close to them. It curbs my stress. This is my favourite stress buster activity when I feel alone and sad.
According to David Attenborough president of Butterfly Conservation, watching butterflies is good for mental health.

During your childhood, you used to colour your books, and draw figures on your artbook without feeling the fear of getting judged.
Why not try the same now? Try new and unfamiliar things.

This is the time….now is the time. Have a mindset of a child who does everything being carefree. Make something creative using your passion.
And you know creativity is one of the most effective stress buster activities to channel your energy towards something good. Creativity is good for your emotional and physical health.

It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Remember, we all cried when we were babies. Also remember, we are not stones, we are living beings with emotions.

Why so disciplined always? You are not a robot, are you? And that’s the beauty and power of being a human. You have all the power in the world to cancel the planned things.
Feel free like a child. Unburden yourself from the responsibilities for a day. Do whatever you want to do. Don’t let anyone judge you. Dress differently, try weird things and be awesome.
